Introduction
Since 2016, mainstream and social media have silenced conservatives using the pretext of suppressing misinformation.
It is now clear that the media platforms were following orders from Biden and his allies.
Weaponizing the Media
In 2016, in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s loss, the Democratic National Committee concluded that Trump won because of “misinformation.” In 2016 the Democrats weaponized the media to eliminate “misinformation.”
The internet, social media platforms, and mainstream media have become weapons for Biden to cancel any thoughts and opinions which challenge his narrative. Mainstream media no longer has journalists. Mainstream media has “narrative enforcers.”
Biden Led a Massive Censorship Operation
According to Missouri Republican Senator Eric Schmitt, Biden led the largest censorship operation in recent history by working with media companies to suppress and censor information later acknowledged as truthful.
The FBI deliberately planted false information about Russian “hack-and-leak” operations in advance of the Hunter Biden laptop story to deceive media platforms into believing the story was Russian “misinformation.” The FBI followed this up by demanding censorship of the Hunter laptop story.
Obamas Embrace of Censorship
At a Stanford speech in April 2022, Obama called for “solving the disinformation problem” with social media censorship and said that content moderation “does not go far enough.”
Speaking at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit in June 2022, Obama called for a total worldwide ban on the content he deemed to be “disinformation” and demanded that technology companies “accept oversight and accountability.”
Obama has called for independent media to be abolished before the 2024 election.
Media Blackout on Biden Corruption
A decade ago, then Vice-President Joe Biden denounced corruptioin in Romania and Ukraine. At the same time,. his son Hunter and a varitey of other family members were receiving massive payments from Ukraine.
In May 2023, Rep. Byron Donalds (R – Fla.) and his colleagues presented evidence of a massive corruption scandal involving a labyrinth of shell companies used to funnel $10 million to Biden family members from corrupt figures in Romania, China, and other countries.
Mainstream and social media have no interest in this story.
Biden Administration Cancels Whistleblowers
An FBI intelligence analyst, who is also a Marine combat veteran, Marcus Allen, reported to Congress that he had uncovered intelligence calling into question the testimony of FBI Director Christopher Wray about the Jan. 6 probe. In May, Marcus has his security clearance and paychecks revoked.
An IRS agent brought to Congress material showing interference by the Justice Department in the Hunter Biden tax evasion investigation. In May, he and his entire team were removed from the case which they had been working on for years.
It is illegal to pursue retribution against whistleblowers. The Biden team appears to think they can do what they want and there will not be any consequnces and most of the media is playing along.
We are quickly moving into banana republic territory.
Conclusion
The First Amendment has no qualifier which excludes “misinformation.” The Founders of America understood that all opinions and viewponts need protection.
Little by little, Americans have been conditioned to accept incursions on their freedoms. Major changes, if implemented slowly in small stages over time, can be accepted as normal.
Benjamin Franklin warned 250 years ago, “Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freedom of speech.”
