Introduction

Biden campaigned on easing immigration controls and has done an extraordinary job fulfilling his promise. A record number of illegal immigrants and deadly drugs have flooded into the country during his time in office.

According to Art Arthur, a former federal immigration judge, the Biden administration is violating most of the Immigration Act and lying to Americans about the security of the border.

Record Number of Illegals

About 5.5 million illegal immigrants have crossed U. S. borders since Biden took office. That is roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Ireland.

These record-breaking numbers directly result from open-border policies implemented by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Mayorkas Is A Serial Liar

On November 15, 2022, Mayorkas assured Congress that the border was secure and that “we are working day in and day out to enhance its security.”

Federal law makes it a crime to give “materially” false statements “knowingly and willfully” to Congress. The penalty includes fines and up to five years in prison. These penalties do not deter Mayorkas from his constant lies.

In September 2021, Mayorkas told the same Homeland Security committee that “The border is secure. We are executing our plan.” In the 12 months following that claim, 2.4 million illegals crossed into America.

Mayorkas flagrant lies go beyond the “secure” border. He flat-out lied when claiming that mounted border agents had whipped illegals on this side of the border.

An email was uncovered from Mayuorkas” top press aid informing Mayorkas that the photographers who took the pictures said the agents were using reins to control their horses, not whips to attack migrants. Armed with this information, Mayorkas publicly accused the agents of whipping migrants, and the border agents spent more than a year being “investigated.”

El Paso Visit

El Paso, Texas is a Democrat stronghold with a long history of welcoming illegal immigrants, until now.

On December 17, 2022, El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser, a Democrat, declared a state of emergency citing the hundreds of illegal immigrants sleeping on the streets and the thousands being apprehended every day.

On January 8, 2023, Biden visited El Paso, his first visit to the U.S.-Mexico border since he has been in office. Biden toured El Paso for about 4 hours and assured Texas Governor Greg Abbott that he would work with him to resolve the problem.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed numerous lawsuits against the Biden administration over border security. “The Biden administration is committed to opening the borders to aliens who cannot take care of themselves. Texans should not have to pay for these costly immigrants, nor should any other American,” Paxton stated in one of his lawsuits.

Conclusion

The most important job of any leader is to protect the people and build a strong, confident nation. Biden has failed spectacularly on both counts.

According to former Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan, “It is time for Congress to impeach Secretary Mayorkas, who has served as the chief architect of the open-border policies and continues to lie to the American people about it.”
