“You can get much further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.”
-Al Capone
Introduction
At least 11 police officers were shot across America in October alone, including fatal shootings in Mississippi and Nevada.
Former New York Governor David Paterson (D) said he has never felt more unsafe in his state than today. On the October 9 podcast of “The Cats Roundtable,” he said he felt safer in the ’80s and ’90s.
Carjackings in Democratic-led Philadelphia have reached over 1,000 so far this year setting an all-time high.
Biden Takes the Title of “Gun Sales Champ”
Americans bought almost 20 million guns in 2021, the second-highest year on record. Last year, the firearms industry sold about 6 guns for every 100 Americans.
Violence Reaches Epidemic Levels
18 percent of Californians experienced either physical or sexual violence in the past year.
With the biggest drug crisis this nation has ever experienced, addicts will do whatever it takes to get another fix. This is one of the reasons shoplifting has skyrocketed to new levels.
In San Francisco, with California laws changed to make all thefts below $950 a misdemeanor rather than a felony, shoplifting has evolved into systematic looting.
Politicians Hide Behind Bodyguards
While the average citizen faces record-breaking violent crime, elitist “defund the police” politicians hide behind bodyguards.
Freshman Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) spent over $600,000 for personal security in the past year. The National Rifle Association has posted a video of Reverend Warnock laughing at church-goers who defend themselves with guns.
Americans are Locked and Loaded
Americans use firearms in acts of self-defense about 1.7 million times a year.
31 percent of gun owners have used a firearm to defend themselves or their property. 82 percent did not have to fire their gun. Brandishing a firearm was enough to eliminate the threat.
The most commonly used firearm for defense, at 66 percent, was a handgun.
56 percent of handgun owners carry their handguns for self-defense.
Conclusion
As Americans have watched cities looted and burned, with no regard for personal property rights, they have decided to take advantage of their right to bear arms for personal protection.
The freedom to own a firearm is guaranteed by the Second Amendment. This peculiar and vital freedom is what distinguished the U.S. from every other nation on the planet.
