D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser requested activation of the National Guard to handle the growing number of migrants traveling to her city.

Since April, over 150 buses from Texas and Arizona have transported 4,000 migrants to the nation’s capital.

“Sanctuary City” New York Overwhelmed

N.Y.C. Mayor Eric Adams says migrants are overloading the city’s homeless shelters. Biden has been secretly flying illegal immigrants from the border on charter planes to airports in New York.

Under the DeBlasio administration, N.Y.C. established a “right to shelter” mandate which entitles all illegal immigrants to a space in a homeless shelter. Thousands of asylum seekers have entered the city’s shelter system, straining a system that was already at capacity.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has sent over 1,500 migrants on buses to the Big Apple. New York officials recently said that the city is using 14 hotels to provide housing to the new arrivals.

Democrats Berserk Over Martha’s Vineyard

“Sanctuary State” Massachusetts received two flights of 50 migrants on September 14 from Florida.

The chartered planes landed in Martha’s Vineyard, the wealthy summer enclave where former President Obama has a $12 million home.

Within 48 hours the migrants were transported by the National Guard to a military base.

Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris, who has repeatedly claimed that “the border is secure,” had deposited on her front lawn in Washington D.C. two buses with 75 illegal migrants from Texas.

“Sanctuary City” Chicago

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has often bragged about Chicago being a sanctuary city. Her often repeated declaration is, “We will never retreat from the fact that we a welcoming sanctuary city, and we stand with our immigrant and refugee communities.”

When a pair of buses carrying dozens of illegal immigrants from Texas arrived in Chicago on August 31, she quickly and quietly relocated them to a hotel in Burr Ridge, a suburb of Chicago. The mayor of Burr Ridge was not informed and expressed concern when he found out about the scheme.

Democratic Voices

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accused Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott of “committing crimes against humanity” by sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities and states.

California Governor Gavin Newsom wrote a letter to Attorney General Garland suggesting he pursue “kidnapping charges” against Governor DeSantis for flying illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

Conclusion

Nearly 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed U.S. borders since Biden took office. That is roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Ireland.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that, so far this year, 60 individuals on the FBI terror watchlist have been apprehended at the southwest border.

CBP also reported that in July alone, 2,071 pounds of fentanyl, the equivalent of 469 million lethal doses, were seized at the southern border.

Since Biden’s administration has chosen to ignore existing immigration laws and, instead, to encourage illegal immigration, it may be up to the states to take over and inforce immigration law.
